Specialized online therapy in CO & VA for twins and parents + 39 states. Understand twin challenges & build healthy relationships with Twinsight Therapy.

You don’t have to keep searching for a professional who understands what it’s like to be a twin. Let’s figure it out - together.

Twins have specific challenges, and their experiences should be heard. If you are….

  • …looking for ways to know yourself without your twin

  • ….trying to figure out if you will have a good relationship with them

  • ….struggling to face challenges being a twin in a world where most people aren't

  • …finding yourself lonely or misunderstood when you're not with your twin

  • ….feeling competitive with them and often being compared to them

…….you are in the right place.

As a twin specialist, I will help you understand the stress and anxiety that come from the changes in your identity, relationships, and roles throughout your life as a twin. Only those who are twins truly know this experience. When twins see therapists who are also twins, it is easier to feel connected and understood, as they consider twin development and related issues.

Hey! I’m Dr. Margot Lewis.

I know how hard it is to find the right kind of help, with someone who really gets you.

Working with me is working with someone who has the lived expertise from years of training, as well as the lived experience. Twins, whether identical or fraternal, share a strong connection that can be both supportive and complicated. As an identical twin, my relationship has greatly shaped who I am. I appreciated the comfort of having someone who understood my thoughts and feelings deeply and was my closest support for questions and worries. However, the constant comparisons and being seen as a unit instead of as individuals was challenging. Therapy wasn't effective for me because it didn’t consider the special twin bond or the unique aspects of being a twin. This experience led me to pursue a career focused on providing the specialized help that twins and their families need to navigate their unique relationship while promoting personal growth and well-being.

Common Reasons twins or their loved ones seek counseling

  • Twin competitiveness

  • Spouses of twins struggling with impact of the twinship on marriage

  • Parents feeling uncertain about conflicting advice on raising twins

  • Parents feeling overwhelmed with the demands of raising twins

“Being a twin means knowing you’re always part of a bigger whole. We were one once, and now we have split into two.”
